Silicone Waterproofing Roof Coating is also called organic silicon-based waterproof coating in white reflective color but there are many color options. It is a water-based environmentally friendly single-part waterproof coating made of silicone rubber latex and its nanocomposite emulsion as the main base material, mixed with inorganic fillers and various additives.

Mostly in white reflective color and it can be used for exposure works with direct sunlight with superior anti-UV performance for the protection of roofing. Once applied the life span can be more than 20 years with proper application. It can be easily brushed or roller applied or used in any spray applications for large-scale metal roofing works.

Silicone Waterproofing Roof Coating Main features

1. The overall film-forming property is good. After the coating film is cured, it will form a continuous, uniform, and integrated rubber-like elastomer, so the waterproof layer made has no overlap joints, which is more suitable for the construction of special-shaped parts.

2. It has good elongation and good tensile strength.

3. Single component, water emulsion type and can be made into the color coating.

4. Convenient construction. It can be constructed by scraping, painting, and brushing. It does not have strict requirements on the humidity of the base layer and can be constructed on wet surfaces. Cold construction is especially advantageous for construction sites where open flames are prohibited and complex shapes are prohibited.

5. Green and environmental protection, non-toxic and tasteless, convenient and safe to use.

Scope of application of Silicone Waterproofing Roof Coating

It is used for waterproofing, anti-seepage, moisture-proof, and gas-proofing of new and old roofs, roofs, basements, bathrooms, swimming pools, warehouses, and bridge projects. Its life span can reach 30 years.

The new color silicone rubber waterproof coating has good adhesion and permeability to cement mortar, concrete matrix, wood, ceramics, glass, and other building materials. The practice has proved that when it is applied to mortar and concrete matrix, it can penetrate 0.3 mm, and firmly hold, it is especially suitable for pasting or plastering the outer surface after painting, especially for basement, bathroom, toilet leakage repair, which is unmatched by other waterproof materials.

In addition, this product also solves the waterproof and sun protection problems of aluminum alloy balconies and window rain covers.

Silicone Waterproofing Roof Coating Construction method

1. Grassroots treatment: the surface of the grassroots is required to be flat, and no unevenness and sanding are allowed.

2. Joint treatment: If the roof has cracks above 3mm, the sealing material should be filled, and then the coating should be applied.

3. Scratch coating: Rolling, scraping, painting, Acrylic Waterproof Rubber Coating, Elastomeric Acrylic Waterproof Coating, Polymer Bitumeninous Waterproof Coating, or brushing can be used for construction. Generally, 3-4 coats are applied, and the reference amount for each coat is 0.8-1.0 kg/m2.

4. The total thickness of the coating film is above 1.5mm, and the interval between each coating is 2-12h (depending on the weather conditions). 1-2 layers of glass fiber cloth or other carcass materials can be added in the middle of the coating.

Generally 1.5-2 kg/m²

Packaging, storage, and transportation

This product is packaged in airtight barrels or pails, the storage temperature should not be lower than 0℃, and the storage period is more than nine months.

This product is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive, and can be transported as ordinary goods.

Note:

1. It is not suitable for construction when the temperature is lower than 5℃.

2. Construction is prohibited on rainy and snowy days.
